Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled AWS Solutions Architect to join our UK team, focusing on designing and implementing high-performance AWS cloud solutions. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, combining deep technical expertise with strong communication skills to create tailored solutions that meet client business and technical objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to accelerate cloud adoption and ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Consultation: Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements, business challenges, and goals, translating these into customized AWS cloud solutions.

• Solution Architecture: Design and propose AWS-based solutions, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Kubernetes, AI/ML, and analytics tools to address specific customer use cases.

• Architectural Documentation: Develop detailed architectural diagrams and documentation for projects, ensuring clarity and alignment with best practices.

• Implementation Guidance: Provide hands-on support during the deployment phase, ensuring smooth adoption of AWS solutions and alignment with customer architectures.

• Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams, solutions architects, and professional services teams to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

• Feedback Loop: Act as a customer advocate, relaying feedback to AWS product teams and internal stakeholders to influence service enhancements.

• Industry Awareness: Stay current on AWS innovations, cloud trends, and competitor offerings to effectively position AWS as the leading cloud provider.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience or certifications may substitute for formal education.

• Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and AWS core services (e.g., compute, storage, networking, databases, serverless, AI/ML).

• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js) for automation or proof-of-concept development.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Kubernetes.

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) are highly desirable.

• Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework and cost optimization strategies.

• 3-7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, solutions design, or technical consulting, ideally with AWS or other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).

• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, or managing cloud-based solutions in enterprise environments.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to design solutions that meet diverse customer needs.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency with tools like AWS Management Console, CLI, or SDKs.
